Controlled Ejection Area (CEA)

2 NM radius around CRP VORTAC 170°/20 DME — midway between Waldron Shrimp Ponds and Chapman Ranch. Complete checklists en-route, turn heading 210 for ejection.

Gear-Up Landing Prevention

  • Pilot reports "gear down and locked" NLT 1 NM straight-in or 180 on downwind.
  • Tower issues "check wheels down" if not heard.
  • Wheels watch notified when "holding gear for training."
  • GCA controllers issue "wheels should be down" before final descent.
